The world's 2nd richest actor, Shah Rukh Khan has just grown richer by a few crores. Happy New Year has filled in King Khan's coffers generously. At the end of week one, the box office collections recorded a total of 157.57 crore. With this the movie bettered the record of Chennai Express. Gaurav Verma, CRO of Red Chillies Entertainment was quoted saying, "The response to Happy New Year is overwhelming across the globe. We look forward to the next few weeks as the movie opens in more territories in Asia, Europe, Africa, Latin and North America." With only Super Nani releasing this week, SRK can expect HNY to sweep week two without much trouble. It remains to be seen if it will break Dhoom 3's overall box-office record.
