Dr. B.K.Modi’s Buddha, the TV show which has been one of the costliest shows produced by Buddha Pictures Ltd. on the scale and grandeur rarely seen on Indian Television and aired on ZEE Entertainment Ltd, got an international acclaim and recognition in the Asian Television Awards held on 11th December 2014 in Singapore. Amongst the entrants from the major Asian countries, ace cinematographer Veerdhawal Puranik bagged the Best Cinematographer’s Award for the show. The award was received by Ridwana, the Creative Producer and Co-Producer of the show, who has put 10 years of her life behind the making of this show. To attain the best quality matching the international standards, the entire series was shot on Film Camera. She said, " I'm truly honored to receive this recognition in Singapore at the ATF, this is the most delightful moment for entire team."
