Star Plus’ Mariam Khan - Reporting Live (Somersault Productions) is soon heading for a leap.

TellyChakkar has been keeping its readers updated with the each development on the show. Lead actors Avinash Mishra, Paras Kalnawat, and Priyanka Kandwal won’t be continuing post the leap.

We had also reported that actress Mahima Makwana has been roped in to play the grown-up Mariam in the show.

Now, our sources inform us that the talented Anju Mahendru has been locked to play a very important character. She will play the caretaker of Mariam, and viewers can look forward to their bonding in the show.

While the show is thus infusing freshness, there have been reports about it going off air.

Show producer Majid Azam has ended all the speculations and exclusively told us, ‘We have worked very hard on the show, and now, the show is growing in terms of ratings and time spent. So I don’t see Mariam going off air. We are very positive and excited for the leap to take place so please do not believe in such rumours.’

Before the leap takes place, viewers can expect a lot of drama in upcoming episodes.
