Stunning and gorgeous Sonal Vengurlekar currently essaying Devyani in Colors’ Shastri Sisters have truly captivated the audience with her performance in the show. In a conversation with Tellychakkar.com the pretty girl shared some behind the scene secrets and spoke about her personal life.

Initially you were pursuing your Bachelors Degree and you left your studies so do you regret giving up your studies? She averred, “Yes, I left studies because I hate books as they are so boring so I jumped into acting but I realize that I should have at least completed my degree even my parents said me to complete my studies.”

So you had already thought of an acting career? She quipped, “No, I never thought of an acting career. I was interested in Hotel Management and I have also worked in McDonald’s and Domino’s so I love spending time in the kitchen.”

So how did acting happen? “I participated in my college events and googled about auditions and went for the audition and I got selected but initially I used to do cameo. I got a proper lead role in Kuch Toh Log Kahenge later I got Buddy Project and Dil Dostii Dance and now Shastri Sisters and I really love acting.”

According to you which show made you famous? “I think Dil Dostii Dance made me more popular because it already had a huge fan following and my negative character gave me more popularity,” said the talented actress.

How is your on screen and off screen chemistry with your Shastri Sisters?  She shared, “In real life, our connection and equation is very similar to what you see onscreen. We have squabbled between us over trivial things, but that’s what makes our bond stronger. We are always together on the sets. We share our make-up rooms, go out shopping together and hang out a lot. Neha Pednekar (Alka) is my favourite sister among all.”

Are you looking forward to Bollywood? “Yes, why not but I can’t do a romantic movie. I would love to do challenging role like Kangana in Queen or movies like LunchBox,” said Sonal.

What is the craziest thing you have done till now? She quipped, “It was our show’s 15^th episode and I had to act like a drunkard and there were so many retakes so I decided to take a sip of beer and asked my director for it and after drinking that I did my shoot and it came out to be one of the best shots (laugh).”

People think that you look like Mallika Sherawat so what is your reaction? “In our Shastri Sisters press conference someone told me that I look like Mallika Sherawat but I never thought of it but I don’t mind because she looks beautiful,” averred Sonal.

What do you think which show the biggest competition to Shastri Sisters? She said, “I think Udann and Sasural Simar Ka are really doing well and they can be the biggest competition to our show.”

There were rumors you were dating your co-stars; don’t you think dating is fun? Sonal said, “Sumit (Bhardwaj) proposed me but I said him that this is the time when we should focus on our career and we are good friends. Currently I am not dating anyone.”

So what do you think about your dream man? “My dream man would the one who would never lie and the one whom I can trust,” ended she.
