What? Real experiences to be shown here?

Well, if you thought that the series is going to feature stories based only on imagination then you are wrong! The makers have plans to showcase real stories as well.

At the press conference of the show, which was held yesterday in Kolkata (26 June), Leena Gangopadhyay, creative head of the show, said, “Apart from fiction, there will be stories inspired from real life experiences. In fact, the first story of the series is based on real life.”

She added, “I am really grateful to Shirshendu da for allowing me to adopt his work into a TV show.  Apart from using his written work, we will also share some of his true experiences about which we got to know from his daughter, Deboleena, who is also a part of this project.”

The wrier also informed that the series will not just have stories revolving around scary ghosts but there will also be friendly, fun loving and kind hearted ghosts.

And apart from Shirshendu, the makers also plan to use Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay’s stories but are yet to get the permission.

Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay’s take on the TV series

Commenting on this initiative, Shirshendu said, “Leena is currently the most successful serial maker. I have faith in her that she will do a great job and also do justice to my stories.”

The author suggested that the makers can also use the stories of unpopular writers.

He shared, “I will be happy if the team also includes authors who are not that popular but have written good stories.  Not necessary if the story is good then the serial too will turn out good. Also, a film or TV show adopted from a weak story can become successful. So, it all depends on the makers.”

So, will he be penning down any new story particularly for this series? Prompt came a humble reply, “If you give me a plot or topic and ask me to write on it, I won’t be able to do that. I am not strong at that. In my case, writing comes from within and I write. However, I have some stories that can be used for the series.”

Casting…

Talking about the cast of the show, Leena said, “There will be many new faces. Casting someone as a ghost who is playing some other characters in some other shows will not be convincing. So, we will try to cast fresh talent or actors who are less popular.”

Samrat Ghosh, Business Head Bangla Cluster, Zee Bangla and Zee Bangla Cinema concluded saying, “Being a socially responsible broadcaster and content creator, we won’t show anything gory which will polarize the audience.”

So, readers, gear up for the series!

Produced by Magic Moments Motion Pictures (P) Ltd, it will air from July 31 every Monday to Friday at 10:30 pm.
