Actor couple Utkarsha Naik and Manoj Verma are re-living their marital journey through their stint in Star Plus’ celebrity couple dance reality show, Nach Baliye 8.

For Utkarsha, being part of the show and being on the grand cruise of Nach Baliye has been a dream come true. Also the fact that she is getting to dance with her hubby Manoj has been the icing on the cake.

Though Utkarsha and Manoj happen to be the senior most couple in terms of age, Utkarsha finds it hard to digest the fact!!

Says the actress, “We have never considered ourselves to be in the 50 plus age group. We are as young and dynamic as everyone else in Nach Baliye.”

Utkarsha and Manoj are certainly not new to dance, as they have been very much passionate about dancing!! “If I had not got into acting, I would have rather been a dancer today (smiles),” claims Utkarsha.

Adding more to her thoughts, the actress avers, “From childhood, I have been very passionate about dancing. However, since I was in every extra curricular activity, whether it was drama, play, sports etc, my parents were very apprehensive in putting me for dance classes. They did not want my studies to suffer. However, in the recent past whenever I have had the time off between shows, I have used the time to up my dance skills. I have been going regularly to dance classes. So dance has been in my blood for some time now. Also, when one starts learning dance, the brain body co-ordination happens. And being a dancer, I have this co-ordination in me. This is the reason why I pick up things fast during rehearsals.”

On her hubby Manoj’s inclination towards dance, Utkarsha sheds light by saying, “He has always been around with me in my dance classes. We have our bodies tuned for dancing. We have learnt Latin American form of dance and have performed together too. Even at family gatherings and weddings, we have got our numbers choreographed and have performed it very well.”

Last but not the least, Utkrasha has a special mention for her choreographer Diwakar. “He has a very good understanding with us. He knows our capabilities very well. And we have so far never refused the dance challenges he has given us. Together, we pack a punch and are ready for the battle.”
