As a graduate from the National school of drama, it was only natural for Anoop Soni to succeed on any front. Be it television or films, Anoop Soni has always portrayed his character impeccably.

However, unlike most, Anoop didn’t begin his career as an actor. In fact, he taught acting to the likes of Akshay Khanna, Apoorva Agnihotri and Priya Gill. A year later, he realized that he was getting too involved in teaching and straying from his focus which was acting.

He made his television debut with Anubhav Sinha’s Sea Hawks. The show was a hit and Anoop got a Screen Award nomination for it. Thereafter, it rained shows for him. During this period, he acted in Saaya, Safar, Shanti, Lekin, Gatha, Sansar, I love You and Kartyava. He was particularly appreciated for his role in Kartavya.

His recent shows include Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki, CID, Remix and Virrudh. After spending nearly a decade in television, Anoop now solely wants to concentrate on his film career.

Anoop is also remembered for his roles in films like Gangajaal, Fiza, Apharan and Hathyaar.

Anoop lives with his wife and son in Mumbai.
