The maharashtrian actor Shreyas Talpade was born on the 27th January, 1976. He has appeared in Marathi as well as hindi films. He is married to Deepti Talpade whom he met at a college event as a celebrity. Deepti was then the general secretary and is a psychologist and a counsellor. Shreyas studied at Ram Welfare Societies high school in Andheri.He appeared in Marathi soap operas when he first began his career. His first show was the soap serial Woh which aired on the channel Zee T.V in which he played the main lead. He is still remembered for his role in the marathi soap serial Damini as Tejas.He made his debut in the movie Iqbal which brought him at the steps of fame and success. His next film was Dor where he played a comedy role and acted as a Bheroopiya. This film too did well. In the year 2006 he starred in the movie 'Apna Sapna Money Money'. He played the role of pappu master and was critically acclaimed for his work opposite the Bollywood's King Khan.He is mostly noted for his comedy roles in movies like Golmaal returns, Housefull 2 and Golmaal 3. His aunts Jayshree Talpade and Meena Talpade are Bollywood actresses. He was recently seen in movies like Welcome to Sajanpur and click a film by Sangeeth Sivan. He won the Star Dust Breakthrough award for his acting skills in the blockbuster Om Shanti Om.He is still remembered for his role in the movie Iqbal where he faced most of the challenges as an actor as he played the role of a deaf and mute person and still had aspirations to be a part of the Indian national cricket team. The film was well acclaimed by both the audience as well as the critics.Following Om Shanti Om he also acted in movies like Bombay To Bangkok in the year 2008 and in the same year he went ahead to produce a marathi film named Sanai Chaughade.
