Gautam Gupta is from Mumbai, Maharastra. He studied in Velam, a boarding school at Dehradun and then he completed his B.Com. He trained at Barry John's acting school, and also tried to perfect his dancing and fighting skills. He even learnt Kathak and Bharatnatyam dance forms. He has always wanted to be an actor. His father Sushil Gupta owns a post-production company.
