Sreejita was born on July 19, 1989 In Haldia, West Bengal and brought up there. She did her schooling from St. Xavier's School, Haldia and graduation in Mass Media from Ruia College. Sreejita debuted on TV with Kasautii Zindagii Kay playing the role of Gargi Bajaj. In 2008, she appeared in a small role in the Bollywood film Tashan. In the same year, she played the lead role in the soap opera Annu Ki Ho Gayee Waah Bhai Waah as Annu.
