Kundali Bhagya actress Twinkle Vasisht shares her fitness mantra

MUMBAI: Currently winning the hearts of her audience by her acting in Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya, the gorgeous actress Twinkle Vasisht is a fitness enthusiast in true sense. No matter how occupied she is with her shooting, the stunning beauty hits the gym regularly to maintain fitness. It is her dedication that helped her shade off the extra kilos and achieve a curvaceous body.   

In a tete-a-tete with TellyChakkar, Twinkle spoke about her fitness regime. Read on-

What is your fitness mantra?

Fitness is a lifestyle not a choice you make one day and let go another day.

Is abs necessary?

We all naturally have abs hidden beneath a layer of fat on the tummy, so all we need is to tone them up, but how much one wants them to appear is a personal choice. Some just want a slim waist others prefer solid abs and so forth.

Share your current workout routine. 

When I am shooting it’s always before I leave for work; that is 6 am (best time to burn calories and keeps me glowing and energetic all day). When I am not shooting I take it easy and prefer to go around 10-11 am but preferably in the morning only.

Who is your gym buddy?

As of now it’s my best friend Piyush Sharma who has helped me train a lot. Being a fitness model/actor himself, Piyush has contributed a lot in my fitness journey.

Share your diet chart with us…

I don't really follow a diet chart as I can't really stick to one all the time but I prefer to keep a goal of drinking four ltrs of water a day. I eat only 1500 cals a day and burn at least 500 calories and no heavy dinner post 8 pm. I eat junk food once or twice a week. I follow this diet to reach my desired goal.

Have you ever taken the supplement to lose or gain weight?

The only supplement that I use is a good protein shake that are a must have for a proper muscle recovery post a good workout. I also take amino acids/ BCAA during my workout.

What would you recommend for a quick 20-30-minutes workout?

I prefer cycling.

How do you stay motivated?

After every workout when I see myself in the mirror nothing like it! I believe that the best motivation is improvement that I see in myself after a great workout! And to see the improvement going, I am back the next day to feel the change.  

How much do you weigh right now?

Right now I am 54Kgs but used to weigh 75Kgs a couple of years from now.

Which body part are you proud of and why?

(Chuckles) It has to be my legs.

What time do you work out?

For me, it’s mostly morning either 6 am or 10 am.

Do you ogle at hot bods in the gym?

Well, I guess everyone does, especially when you have other females around with say a better bum or legs (Chuckles) who lift weights. And it’s purely out of healthy competition so don't judge (laughs).
