Shah Rukh Khan's iconic film, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ), continues to make waves, earning a special mention from The Academy on their official Instagram page.
In a career marked by iconic romantic films that have shaped Hindi cinema, Shah Rukh Khan is often hailed as the King of Bollywood. However, even for this cinematic maestro of love, there was a surprising challenge – performing in front of the camera when his real-life love, Gauri Khan, was present on the set.
The movie had been popular in India until that point, but it had not made an impact outside. That changed after its publication in Russia. In the Soviet Union, the movie sold an astounding 12 lakh tickets, bringing in 60 million roubles, or around $75.86 million or Rs 94.28 crore.
Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor, who is back on-screen as the quintessential romantic hero in the much-awaited 'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar', said that SRK's character Raj from 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' (DDLJ) inspired him to play charming lover boys in cinema, having seen the iconic film at least 20 times.
Bollywood actress Kajol is a master in multi-tasking as she shared a video of her knitting while getting her make-up done for the shoot of her upcoming web series 'The Good Wife'.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's charm can sweep anyone off their feet. So, when someone says that his film or he in particular didn't impress someone, it seems odd more so to the man in question.
