Aamir Khan's latest celluloid outing PK has not exactly pleased some right-wing Hindu hardliners who believe that Hindu religion and its gods have been unfairly targeted and shown in poor light in the film.

Infact, the Hindu legal cell of Delhi has filed a police complaint asking action to be taken against Aamir Khan, Rajkumar Hirani and PK's producers for disrespecting Lord Shiva and hurting Hindu sentiments.

Reacting to the same, Aamir told us, "We respect all religions. All my Hindu friends have seen the film and they haven't felt anything offensive. And these friends of mine are deeply religious. Even Raju and 99% of the crew members of PK are Hindus. This is a democracy and everyone has his or her opinion which I respect. Having said that, let me clarify that we aren't talking about any one religion in particular in PK. I think utmost care has been taken by both me and Raju in telling the story in a sensitive manner."

Aamir also said that it was important for people to question blind faith which they have done through PK. "I and Raju feel that faith shouldn't be rocked because everyone needs faith. But it's superstition and blind faith that should be questioned because many people under the garb of faith exploit the weak and needy and under the name of religion do things that your religion doesn't allow. For instance, killing of innocent people which no religion allows. We respect all religions and we are not talking about one particular religion in PK."

Elaborating on the stand that the film has taken, Aamir said, "The film is taking a stand against those people or those groups who are exploiting others. And these are the very people who have problems with the film. They want a status quo and wouldn't want their things to change. Such people will not like the film."

PK meanwhile continues to make moolah at the box-office. As per reports last received, the movie had collected close to 100 crore at home and 47 crore abroad, a figure that Aamir himself confirmed to us.
