Vaani Kapoor opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Shamshera
Vaani Kapoor is set to sizzle like never before in Karan Malhotra’s mega action adventure Shamshera starring Ranbir Kapoor. Vaani will play Ranbir’s love interest, the most desirable and sought after travelling performer from heartland India.
Touted to be a larger-than-life entertainer, the film will have jaw-dropping action sequences. Also, Sanjay Dutt plays the merciless nemesis of Ranbir in the project. Shamshera is set to go on floors by the end of this year and shooting will wrap up by mid 2019.
Parineeti Chopra replaces Shraddha Kapoor in Shotgun Shaadi
After Ek Villan, media reports have it that Sidharth Malhotra and Ekta Kapoor have teamed up for Shotgun Shaadi, a film which will revolve around the issue of grooms being kidnapped in Bihar. But looks like the reunion would have to wait. While there were reports that Shraddha Kapoor was brought on board as the female protagonist, looks like the face will now be Parineeti Chopra.
Ali Fazal replaces Sooraj Pancholi in Telugu remake - Prasthanam
Sanjay Dutt and Sooraj Pancholi were supposed to play the father and son respectively in a yet-untitled movie based on the complex relationship between the parent and child amidst a political backdrop. The film is a remake of the Telugu blockbuster Prasthanam and the pre-production begun under the banner of Sanjay’s home production, Sanjay Dutt Productions. But the news has it that there is a major change in the casting and the role which was assigned to Sooraj earlier will now be played by Ali Fazal. The movie will also star Amyra Dastur.
