Arpita and Aayush are happily married
It was a dream palace wedding that only Salman Khan's sister could pull off. From top VVIPs of the country lining up as guests, finger licking sumptuous food for lunch and dinner and none other Salman Khan shaking a leg, Arpita's wedding yesterday was had all the inscriptions of a fairytale knot. We give you a low down on the happenings that unfolded yesterday at the royal Faluknama palace in Hyderabad. For starters, the security details were looked after by the city police commissioner M Mahender Reddy himself. The local police formed the outer security layer while Salman's bodyguards took care of the inner ring. Reportedly, Salman had hired 600 bouncers to take care of the security arrangements. But that didn't deter Salman's fans from assembling outside the palace. Two burkha-clad women also tried gatecrashing but they couldn't hoodwink the police. Reports of a minor clash between the crowd and the police also emerged. Salman himself was present to receive Aayush at the airport and accompanied him to the palace where a duplex presidency room which used to be the bedroom of the sixth Nizam awaited Aayush's arrival. Meanwhile, Arpita settled in the plush Queen's suite. The guests were accommodated and looked after well by the hotel staff who took orders directly from Salman. Every guest was ferried to the palace from the airport in a luxury car that had the sticker AA printed on it. All male guests wore dazzling cloth turbans during the wedding. Arpita looked resplendent in an Abu-Sandeep lehenga while groom Aayush arrived in a horse-drawn carriage accompanied by musicians and relatives. The duo got hitched in evening in the main Faluknama palace where Salman and family hosted a grand party for the select 250 guests. The highlights of the evening were Mika Singh's performance and Salman's dance performance. Both Salman and Aamir Khan later accompanied Arpita and Aayush outside for the waiting photographers. A 150 kg cake with the words AA (Arpita&Aayush) inscribed on it was wheeled in for the just married couple. The wedding night ended on a grand note with a princely dinner comprising of Hyderabadi biryani, Haleem and Double ka Meetha, all favourites of Salman awaiting the guests. Really a fairytale wedding that everyone would wish for, we say.
