As a kid, I was a bit rebellious and unpredictable: Saif Ali Khan

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan says that as a child, he was a bit rebellious and unpredictable but now everything has settled well for him and he feels wiser and a little enlightened.

"There was a time as a kid, I was a bit rebellious and unpredictable. But now, everything has settled down so well and I feel wiser and a little enlightened. I think maybe it comes from the reading or thinking, or endless hours sitting around waiting for a shot and contemplating stuff.

"It has led to a certain amount of comfort and understanding and peace," Saif said during an interview with CNN's Anna Coren, read a statement.

The 48-year-old, during his appearance on Talk Asia, spoke about his 25-year old Bollywood career, exploring newer platforms like Netflix and raising his son Taimur in the media spotlight with his actress-wife Kareena Kapoor Khan.

"Our job is to keep him balanced. I think Indian parents like us, like my parents, have a slightly tough time trying to put good moral values and basic family values into kids who grow up with too much attention. And it is possible. So, we hope that he is going to grow up fine and we're very conscious of it," Saif said while talking about Taimur, who draws constant media attention.

Saif even spoke about his relationship with his late father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, and his thoughts on inter-faith marriage in today's day and age.

Asked about his memories of his legendary cricketer father, Saif said, "I imagine very often you'll find famous superstars who mean a lot of things to other people, sometimes mean less to their own children, because it's hard to balance. But he was everything to us and he's really one of the most ultimate people I have met."

The Talk Asia episode with Saif will air on Wednesday and 7 October.

He is such a multitasker. I must say that Dhanush wears the hat of director and actor pretty seamlessly."

"Though all actors do not make good directors, Dhanush is really one of the finest. He knows exactly how to direct an actor to extract the performance the way he wants it. Perhaps that is happening because he is a performer himself," added the actress, who started her career in Bollywood with the film Yeh Saali Zindagi in 2012.

"Dhanush is very passionate about cinema and working with a great team which has made me really comfortable despite the challenge of not knowing the language, I am very happy to go on the set every day.

However, she said, "Such passionate directors really gives actor challenge. There are days when I just feel like crying because as a performer I am pushing the envelope and do not know if I will be able to match up the expectations. But when we get it right, that's a different kind of happiness."

Haven't received any legal notice from Nana Patekar: Tanushree Dutta

Despite getting threats of legal notice from Nana Patekar for accusing him of sexual assault, actress Tanushree Dutta revealed that neither has she got any legal notice from the actor's lawyer nor is she afraid of him.

"I am putting together a team of lawyers and advocates to defend my interests. Also contrary to claims made by Nana's lawyer, I have not received any legal notice. So 'Bluffmaster' go needs to step up his game a bit here," the former beauty queen said in a statement.

Earlier this week, Tanushree came in front of the media and accused the Welcome actor of harassing her on the sets of their 2008 film Horn Ok Pleassss.

In an interview given to a leading publication, she recounted Nana's "misbehaviour" on the set.

"He (Nana Patekar) called the MNS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena) party to bash up my car. He was behind everything and was supported by Ganesh Acharya (choreographer)..."

Following the allegations, Patekar's lawyer responded saying, he will send a legal notice to her.

Tanushree said that no one can stop her from speaking the truth and the "threat of legal notice" can't intimidate her.

The 34-year-old actress also expressed concern over the lawyers who can do anything for money.

"Current scenario raises how when a victim speaks up there are morally bankrupt and corrupt lawyers and advocates who come forward to defend serial harassers and offenders for their two seconds of fame. Despite witnesses coming forward and all evidence in my support I am being subjected to criminal intimidation and harassment by Nana's helper.

"I am sure this guy has many skeletons in his closet too as birds of a feather always flock together. This is the story of countless millions in our country who are still waiting for justice because they got dragged into a web of legal mumbo jumbo and were silenced into submission."

The Good Boy, Bad Boy star also urged the Indian judicial system to take Nana and his lawyer into custody and question them.

"This lawyer along with his client should both be questioned and taken to task. I have a humble request to the Bar Association of India to call out and take action against him and other such people who help perpetrators further harass their victims and witnesses in the name of law," she said in a statement.

Preetisheel Singh looks forward to AndhaDhun, RAW and Thackeray

This year has been a great one for National Award-winning make-up, hair and prosthetic designer Preetisheel Singh. Starting out with the blockbuster success of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat, where she created the looks for Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh as the wicked Alauddin Khilji, she also designed the endearing looks of Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor for Umesh Shukla's runaway hit 102 Not Out.

Last month, the makeover wiz had her hattrick clincher with Anubhav Sinha's Mulk; a gripping take on Muslim patriotism in a Hindu-majority India. The film not only made an indelible mark at the box-office, but managed to effectively send out a fabulous message of equality and brotherhood.

The lady is excited about the Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer AndhaDhun next. "I've got a chance to work with Sriram Raghavan for the first time. It's a cool flick and I'm proud to be the makeup designer for it," says Preetisheel, who has also just finished her work for Romeo Akbar Walter (RAW) with John Abraham donning multiple looks. But she quips that RAW is going to be a "surprise package" so she can't reveal about the looks as of now.

And finally there is Thackeray, where Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays the role of Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray. "The praise received by Thackeray's teaser was humongous. I'm grateful to the makers who have entrusted me with this responsibility. Am a bit anxious too and have my fingers crossed," she adds.

At the pace Preetisheel delivers one memorable character look after another, it's obvious there's no looking back for her.

Kajol turns into a tease on the sets of Helicopter Eela

Kajol has been the talk of the town for her relatable mommy-avatar in the upcoming film, Helicopter Eela. Directed by Pradeep Sarkar, the film beautifully sketches the journey of a single mother, quite overprotective about her teenage son, played by the National Award-Winner, Riddhi Sen.

Owning her absolutely witty self on and off screen, Kajol turned into a complete tease on the sets of Helicopter Eela, and guess who became the scapegoat? It was none other than her reel son, Riddhi who was tagged as ‘National Award Winner’ during the entire shoot of the film.

Ridhhi, who was touched by Kajol’s affection and support behind the camera, throws light on the funny instances that took place throughout the schedule. He says, “Kajol ma’am and I developed a strong bond in a very short span of time. She knew I had recently won an award for my work. One day she once addressed me as ‘National Award Winner’ instead of calling my name and in no time, it spread across the entire crew and eventually everybody just copied it. Till date, I am called ‘National Award Winner’ by all of them and this shall stick with me more than forever.”

Helicopter Eela also stars Neha Dhupia in a pivotal role and is all set to shine brightly for its endearing narrative this October. With such funny elements rolling in, we surely can’t wait to watch the film in theatres soon.

Ajay Devgn and Jayantilal Gada (Pen) presents, co-produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak, Vikrant Sharma, Reshmaa Kadakia, Kushal Kantilal Gada, Neeraj Gala and produced by Ajay Devgn, Dhaval Jayantilal Gada, Aksshay Jayantilal Gada, Helicopter Eela is all set to release on 12 October 2018.
