Panipat's shoot to begin in November

Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker will begin filming his next period drama Panipat in November.

"Prep is on across all fronts. Filming begins in November. Excited," Gowariker tweeted. The film features Sanjay Dutt, Kriti Sanon and Arjun Kapoor.

Gowariker also cleared the air on rumours around the movie.

"Kiran Deohans was never considered for the cinematography of Panipat. My director of photography is C.K. Muraleedharan."

Rajkummar Rao wraps up 'Fanne Khan' shoot

Actor Rajkummar Rao has finished shooting for Fanne Khan, which also stars Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

"And it is a wrap on Fanne Khan for me. Can't wait to share our labour of love with you all on August 3. Trailer out soon. Thank you Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Atul Manjrekar and team for this beautiful journey," Rajkummar tweeted on Tuesday.

Fanne Khan is the Hindi adaptation of the Dutch film Everybody's Famous. It is produced by Mehra and directed by Manjrekar.

'Hichki' gets standing ovation at Shanghai film fest

Director Siddharth Malhotra, whose film Hichki received a standing ovation at the Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF), says it was an honour.

Malhotra on Monday shared a few images of the film's screening over social media, and captioned it, "What an honour and an overwhelming feeling when your work gets a standing ovation from a foreign audience who simply watches a film with subtitles and gets moved to tears/laughter.”

"Thank you Shanghai SIFF 2018 at the festival for this experience, from the entire team of 'Hichki',” he added.

'Tha tha' is very close to my heart: Dr Zeus

Punjabi music sensation Dr Zeus says he is happy with the response to his song "Tha tha".

The song's video has crossed over six millions views in a week since its release.

"'Tha tha' has been close to my heart because of the way it has been made, the response has been overwhelming and all the love that I am getting is unconditional," he said.

"I would like to thank all fans who have been supporting me throughout my career," he added.

Dr. Zeus has made the song with his squad of Fateh Doe, Zora Randhawa and Preet Singh. It has been shot in New York.

Aayush Sharma overwhelmed by response to 'Loveratri' teaser

Debutant Aayush Sharma, superstar Salman Khan's brother-in-law, is overwhelmed by the positive response to the teaser of his maiden film Loveratri.

"I am overwhelmed by the reactions pouring in for the teaser. There is nothing more empowering than to be appreciated for your hard work and effort," Aayush said in a statement to IANS.

He witnessed the response when he visited Gaiety Galaxy to watch the teaser of his film which is attached to the print ofRace 3.

A Gujarati couple who saw the teaser recognised Aayush in the audience and approached him, and praised his performance.

The film's teaser, which released on 13 June, begins with Salman introducing the storyline, narrating the colourful love story.

Rupali Suri follows special diet for 'Inside Edge 2'

Actress Rupali Suri, a rice lover, is on a weight-loss streak for her upcoming Amazon Prime Video's web series Inside Edge 2.

"Giving up on rice is a challenge for me. But if my role demands me to have a certain kind of physique, I work hard for it and make sure expectations are met," Rupali said.

She is excited about Inside Edge 2 and has high hopes from it as she believes it has an "intriguing storyline and strong characters".

The actress is currently shooting for Ekta Kapoor’s Mental Hai Kya starring Rajkumar Rao. The preparations of Imali is expected to start rolling only towards the end of the year as Kangna is also occupied with Ashwini Iyer Tiwari’s kabaddi drama which will apparently sway in October.
