Mumbai: She has set the screen on fire with her very cute bashful wink. We are talking about Kerala actor Priya Prakash Varrier – a young 18-year-old, whose only claim to fame prior to the release of the promo of her new film Oru  Adoor Love - that revolves around romantic love in a co-ed school - was modeling and acting in a few short films.

Today she has garnered more 2.3 million followers on instagram, around 100,000 on Twitter and the youth of the nation are swooning over her cute wink within two days of the film teaser  being released.

The second clip which is doing the rounds since yesterday has her kissing her two fingers while in the classroom  and then making them into a pretend gun and shooting  her cute co-star Roshan Abdul Rahoof who reacts by falling backwards on the bench.

Nothing special – or cheesy - you might say! But it’s the treatment of the scene which really gets to you during this time of romance.

In the first promo of Oru Adoor Love – which is releasing on 3 March – Priya  has a flirtatious moment with Roshan in which he raises his eyebrows, she does the shame, and he repeats it. She  winks at him and then shyly and mischievously looks down, biting her lip – realizing almost too late what she has done, but still happy to have crossed the line.

It is these two scenes that have set the social media on fire as it reminds almost each one of us of those coy moments we have experienced in our growing up years.

It excited Telugu superstar Allu Arjun enough to tweet : “Theeeee Cutesttt Video I have seen in recent times. The power of simplicity. Love it !”

Speaking to NDTV Priya said that the sequence was not planned or rehearsed extensively. “My director asked me if I could raise my eyebrows and then do the wink thing,” she told the news channel. “I told him I could give it a try. It was spontaneous.”

Priya added that she is studying in a women’s college and she remembered her student years in a co-ed school during the scenes and that is what helped her react so well with her co-star.

The young lass is excited about the film’s upcoming release and the social media fame which has come with the promo.
