Ranveer Singh may be at the receiving end after his participation in AIB roast but a recent false reportage about him having suffered from depression published by a leading daily made the actor see red. It was reported in DNA that Deepika spoke about her depression after having seen Ranveer go through the same post the suicide of his close friend who the actor couldn't save. Reportedly, a close friend of Ranveer committed suicide and before taking the extreme step wrote on Facebook that he was ending his life. Unfortunately, no one could prevent him from taking his death leap. The daily went on to say that Ranveer too suffered from acute depression and Deepika was his constant source of support. And after having seen what depression could do to a person, Deepika who was herself suffering from the same decided to go public about it. The daily alleged that Deepika's going public had much to do with Ranveer's depression. An angry Ranveer today posted his official response to the news on his Twitter profile. “Yo @dna @TusharrJoshi @SaritaTanwar ... That was uncool, uncalled for and an outright disrespectful imposition.” “Talk about Monday morning blues. Picked up yesterday's paper and read this 'fairy tale' of my depression about an intensely personal tragedy. Much worse, it was shamelessly aligned with another person’s conflict and both these unrelated stories were made to connect for a sensational effect; deplorable to say the least. Figment of one’s imagination now taken to another level, in which there's a dramatic twist about a therapist too! Ludicrous! Obviously, the journo didn't bother to check the veracity of this 'news' with me or any one of my representatives- Appallingly unethical! Classic case of utterly IRRESPONSIBLE JOURNALISM. Is there any accountability? Or is the power of the pen now the terror of the pen?” Ranveer surely has a point here, we say.
