Of the many international beauties who have tried their luck in Bollywood, only a handful have made it big here. And topping this list is none other than Katrina Kaif. The leggy lass from UK never had it easy in Bollywood having had some forgettable outings at the start of her career. Fortunately for her, she soon found Salman Khan as her mentor and the rest as they say is history. At the pinnacle of her glory today, Katrina today has not just Salman but a whole lot of other people to thank in the industry all of whom helped her in reaching where she is today. "I have a long list of people to thank. If I have to write the top four, it would be David Dhawan, Sohail Khan, Salman Khan, Ram Gopal Varma. Infact, every person from the beginning I have worked with till now has played a part in my life," reveals Katrina. Though Katrina has scaled great heights in terms acting success, she still likes to be extremely modest about it. Says Katrina, "If you look at success as a mountain or ladder then every step to reach to where you want to go is important to climb. I look at success as a never ending mountain or never ending ladder because if there is nowhere to go after a certain point then it is over. So let's pretend we have a never ending mountain to climb. Every person who had been there along the way is responsible and part of my success." Katrina also has not forgotten those who stood by her when not many were willing to give her a long rope. "Also part of my success story are those actors who believed in me. There were many actors who said no to me. May be not so much now but about nine years back there were many incidences when so and so actor has not agreed to work with you. You don't take such things to your heart but you do obviously remember the ones who believed in you and had a vision and worked with you then." Well, we are sure no actor can say no to Katrina today. Tables have just turned with the passage of time, indeed.
