Varun Dhawan's new rugged look and attempt to do something different with Badlapur has drawn rave reviews from none other than Bollywood's bhai, Salman Khan. Salman who has had a long association with Varun's father, David Dhawan looked highly impressed with Varun's new look and his yearning to do something different this time around. Infact, Salman exhorted the young lad to go ahead and break his own father's (David Dhawan) record. Tweeting his high praise for Varun Dhawan, Salman wrote: Wah yaar! Kamaal karte ho Mr. Varun ! Badlapur ? Already tryin diff stuff :) ? Film lookin good. Baap ka record tord do jaldi . Happy fr u. Varun of course was over the moon after receiving this compliment from industry's biggest superstar. The young actor wrote back: "Thank u @BeingSalmanKhan bhai see you tomorrow at big boss". While Varun has only been a part of romcoms till date, Badlapur will see him in a new dark avatar which is a far cry from his chocolate boy image. One will have to wait and see if audience too will accept the new Varun Dhawan. Irrespective of what happens at the BO, Varun already has Salman's approval. That's enough to boost one's confidence, we say.
