Seth Rogen, Goldberg to produce limited series

Actors Seth Rogen and screenwriter Evan Goldberg will be producing Console Wars, which will be a limited series, for the small screen.

Legendary Television has closed a deal to develop the Blake J. Harris novel Console Wars: SegaNintendo and the Battle that Defined a Generation as a limited drama series, reports the leading publication.

The books tell the behind-the-scenes story of how Sega took on the juggernaut Nintendo and revolutionised the video game industry.

Jordan Vogt-Roberts will direct with Mike Rosolio to write the pilot.

It was announced in 2014 that Rogen and Goldberg had signed on to write and direct a Console Wars movie. Rogen later commented that a documentary version would be released first before he and Goldberg began working on the film.

The limited series will now be produced in lieu of the film.

This marks Rogen and Goldberg's latest TV project. Through Point Grey, they have also produced shows like AMC's Preacher andFuture Man for Hulu. They are also currently prepping for Black Monday and The Boys.

Kim, Kanye donate money to family of injured photographer

Reality TV stars Kim Kardashian and her husband Kanye West, a rapper, have donated $25,000 to the family of their personal photographer after he was critically injured in a car crash.

Marcus Hyde, who travelled the world taking photographs for the star couple, sustained head injuries during a collision last month and has been in hospital fighting for his life ever since.

An online fundraising campaign was recently launched to help his family cover his soaring medical costs and his celebrity clients are among those who have contributed, reports the leading publication

"As many know, Marcus Hyde was in a serious car accident at the end of October, resulting in him being hospitalized with serious injuries," read a statement posted on Hyde's campaign page... He has a long road to recovery.

"If you have the means to donate any amount, no matter how small, know that it will be used to ensure Marcus has what he needs during his road to recovery. This will help Marcus and his family during this devastating time."

Kim and Kanye have repeatedly taken to social media to ask for prayers for their friend.

"Please pray for my friend Marcus Hyde," Kim tweeted alongside a photograph of Hyde following the accident.

Payne 'secretly pushing' Cheryl into new career

Singer Liam Payne is "secretly" pushing his former girlfriend Cheryl into new career if her solo comeback flops.

When Cheryl, 35, released her comeback single Love made me do it earlier this month, Payne was one of the first to tweet that he loved the song and couldn't wait to hear the rest of her new album.

And after Cheryl's new single sold just 5000 copies, Payne was on hand to offer her some advice, reports the leading publication.

According to a source, the former One Direction member has suggested she think about alternative paths within the music industry.

"His advice was that if she didn't want to carry on performing, she should go into music management," a source told Closer magazine.

They added, "Liam has told her to ignore the haters and focus on the people who love her. He's told her not to give up and that together they can try again."

Cheryl was said to be a huge support to Payne when his solo career took off last year and he thinks she'd be a perfect mentor.

The 43-year-old singer surnamed Chen and a 25-year-old woman surnamed He were detained in a residential community in Beijing's Shijingshan district on Monday.

Elton John cancels concert due to ear infection

A plethora of fans were left disappointed after musician Elton John cancelled his concert here on Tuesday night, nearly 30 minutes after the show was scheduled to start.

"We're sorry to announce that due to an ear infection, Elton John is unable to perform tonight," Amway Center revealed in a statement on Twitter and also announced to the audience waiting for the singer at the Florida venue, reports leading publication.

The concert, which is a part of the 71-year-old singer's Farewell Yellow Brick Road three-year tour, will be rescheduled.

"The rescheduled Orlando date will be announced in the near future, so please hold onto your tickets," Amway Centre wrote.

Despite the organisers' attempt to calm John's fans, many outraged concert-goers expressed their fury on Twitter.

"Sir Elton John, I think the way that your show was cancelled was pitiful! You let all your fans including me pay for parking, hotels, babysitters, drinks, merchandise then sit and wait for 25 min after it was to begin to cancel. Pitiful," one fan wrote.

"Girls, Elton John just cancelled his show in Orlando," a different user tweeted adding a crying and broken hearted emoji. "It was the first time I was gonna see him bye."

"Taken 5 minutes apart," another fan wrote alongside a photo which showed the venue before and after the cancellation.

John's show in Tampa has also been postponed.

"Due to an ear infection and doctor's orders, the sold out show scheduled for Wednesday, 28 November in Tampa is being postponed to a date to be determined," a press release read.

"All tickets for the original date are valid for the rescheduled date which will be announced shortly. No exchanges needed. If a guest cannot attend the rescheduled date, refunds are available at point of purchase."
