Arrests of suspected underworld thugs by the Mumbai police recently who were looking to gun down prominent film personalities like Shah Rukh Khan, Farah Khan and Mahesh Bhatt sent Bollywood into a tizzy. The Mumbai police however were swift to act and immediately dispatched additional security to those whose lives were under threat from the gangsters. And after SRK's name cropped up in the hit-list, his security has been beefed up by cops. Confirming this SRK today said, “I was at home for the last few days. But my office has been fully engaged by the Mumbai police and I would like to say this once again that these news reports come in later after our cops have taken care of everything.” SRK also expressed his deep gratitude for Mumbai police and their security detail provided for him. Said SRK, “I am extremely grateful to them because ultimately everyone has a family. It's unfortunate that such things happen and it would be nice if they don't happen. But if it has happened, the Mumbai police helps us and takes care of everything without even alarming us. They take care of everything without even telling us. I think they have also take care of Farah and others. I have not spoken to them(police) personally but my office is in touch with them.” Cheers to Mumbai police, we say.
