Sushant Singh Rajput open up about shooting in Chambal for Sonchiriya
It's true that it's only Monday, but it's also true that we are waiting for Friday to come soon. A filmy one that, and fortunately, the coming one will take us back time! We are talking about Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar's Sonchiriya. Shot in Chambal, the film is set in the 1970s, the 1975 Emergency, which affected Chambal to a great extent. Post that, it narrates the journey of all the rebels and dacoits, who fought with the police force. Also starring in the film are Manoj Bajpayee, Ranvir Shorey and Ashutosh Rana in key roles, and we can't wait to see them fight it out in this intriguing, raw and rustic drama.
When asked about the challenges of shooting under extreme conditions and in far-off places and if it was difficult, Sushant said to media, “Yeah, it is. Of course, when we sign a film, we already know it (the odds).”
“But while we are shooting, all the extreme conditions that we are talking about actually help in portraying what we want to portray. So, it sets up everything. The line is the last thing that comes out. And since it is Chambal -- you see all these technologies coming but it still has retained its uniqueness -- we actually felt it," he added.

Sonakshi Sinha and team are disappointed by this!
Earlier in the day, reports arrived of an FIR being lodged against Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha and four others. Event organizer, Pramod Sharma filed a case against the actress under the charges of cheating, criminal conspiracy and criminal breach of trust. According to Sharma, she even took a pay check of Rs 37 Lakhs, but she didn't turn up for the event.
Although nothing has come from Sonakshi yet, her management agency has issued a statement on her behalf. The official statement read, "Sonakshi was approached by the event organizers in Delhi to attend an event. However, despite repeated reminders, the organizer failed to make the payments to Sonakshi before the event as contracted. The tickets to Delhi were not in order/as were agreed, the organiser also didn’t send return tickets for Sonakshi and her team, despite knowing that she had a shoot the next morning after the event. This put everyone in a tough spot.”
“Ever since that day, Sonakshi's management agency has been trying to reach out to the organiser to find an amicable solution to the extent of offering an alternate date and tried to connect but to no avail. The organiser is now using the media to release false and manipulated facts. If the organiser doesn't stop at this, Sonakshi and her team will be forced to take a legal course of action to set this straight,” further read the letter.
