MUMBAI: Can the cast of Prasthanam get any better? Sanjay Dutt’s upcoming film, helmed under his own production house, Prasthanam has a stellar cast and it seems that names are getting added on the list day-by-day.

TellyChakkar was the first to report about the Khalnayak duo, Jackie Shroff and Sanjay Dutt reuniting after 11 years for the Hindi remake of the Telugu film. Now as per latest developments, there are a few more names added in the multi-starrer.

According to a reliable source, Chunky Pandey and Zakir Hussain are the other two names that have joined the political drama. Pandey and Dutt were last seen in Hum Hai Raahi Car Ke (2013) and five years later, the pair will be collaborating again in Prasthanam. Chunky, 55, plays a pivotal character in the screenplay. Interestingly, the duo will also be seen in the fourth instalment of the comedy series Housefull.

Furthermore, Indian actor Zakir Hussain, who is best known for his negative and comic roles, will also share the screen space with Dutt. Our sources reveal that the actor will play a negative character in the Hindi adaption. Hussain, who hails from Meerut, is known for his acting finesse due to his theatre experience. He was last seen in Judwaa 2 (2017). The NSD alumni fitted the bills of the character and everything fell in place properly.

The shooting for the movie has already begun. The film is directed by Deva Katta and features Ali Fazal, Amyra Dastur, Manisha Koirala, Jackie Shroff and others as the ensemble cast.
