Recently at the press conference to unveil the new ‘Anandi’, we spoke to Smita Bansal who seemed to be enjoying every bit of her new look, post the five-year leap. So did they throw a farewell party for Avika Gor aka the chhoti Anandi? “We wanted to but for that we should know na when her last day of shooting is! Every time we think it’s her last day, she is there the next day shooting for flashback scenes. So maybe this is going to continue for some more time till we actually get to know her last day of shooting, we can’t give her a farewell, can we?” chuckles Smita, who plays Sumitra, Anandi’s mother in law.

Interestingly, Smita says she hasn’t felt any difference as yet despite the arrival of the new Anandi? “We feel the same. Our roles are the same, only she has changed.”
