Ashish Kapoor and Roma Bali in Punar Vivah

Shashi-Sumeet Mittal’s new offering Punar Vivah, starring Gurmeet Choudhary and Kratika Sengar as leads, has been appreciated by the masses. The show has been raking in the numbers and the latest that we have gathered is that Ashish Kapoor – who was last seen in Chand Chupa Badal Mein (Star Plus) – and Roma Bali – of Shobha Somnath Ki (Zee TV) fame – have been signed to play pivotal roles in the show. Ashish and Roma will be seen as Paridi’s (Leena Jumani) parents. Ashish will be Major Khanna, an open minded and extrovert Army man. He will take his daughter’s shagun and meet Suraj Pratap and family. On the other hand, Roma will be a modern mother who will have a penchant for chiffon saris and sleeveless blouses. Ashish and Roma will be madly in love with each other. When contacted Ashish confirmed the news and said, “Yes, I am entering the show. It’s a very nice character and I am happy to be a part of it.” Roma Bali stated, “I was looking to play a character like this. It’s different and quite interesting.” Their entries are expected to air on Wednesday, March 7 2012.
