Comedy Circus to go Regional!

Venturing into the regional space has become a new trend for mainstream producers these days. Production houses like Film Farm, Balaji and Beyond Dreams that earlier created content only for General Entertainment Channels have all started producing regional content as well. The latest one to join the bandwagon is Optimystix.

Optimystix, who at present have a couple of shows like Saas Bina Sasural, Papad Pol, Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo on air, including the extremely popular Comedy Circus, will now also produce a comedy based Marathi reality show for Star Pravah.

A reliable source informs us “The format of the show could be slightly different from the one that airs on Sony. Optimysitx has begun work on the show and it is most likely to go on air in the third (3rd) week of November. The working title as of now remains as Comedy Circus.”

Producers Vipul Shah and Sanjeev Sharma remained unavailable for comment in spite of our repeated attempts to contact them.

Seems like this new trend is spreading faster than a forest fire. Lets hope that Comedy Circus in Marathi does just as well as its Hindi counterpart on Sony.
