Kavita Kaushik stars with John in a phillum

Kavita Kaushik who is still etched in public memory for her Haryanvi cop act in SAB’s FIR, is on cloud nine these days. Reason being, she has just wrapped up shoot for her upcoming debut movie, Phillum city in which she features with none other than Bollywood hottie, John Abraham. In this directorial debut of Deven Khote (co-founder of UTV), Kavita plays a very bubbly character. The movie also boosts of TV actor Amit Mistry along with some theatre artists. An excited Kavita states, “I am done with the shooting of my movie which is slated for release sometime next year, the date not being finalized yet.” When queried about the movie and her role, all that Kavita said was, “I play a very lively character that’s all I can say right now. The movie is about the chawl life and its people who are influenced by Bollywood.” However the lady couldn’t curb the delight of sharing screen space with ‘the hunk ‘- John as she added, “John is a very down-to-earth person and we had a ball while shooting. He kept us in splits on the sets and made work fun and enjoyable.” We wish this spunky lady a successful innings on the big screen.
