Veterans play Manav’s parents in Pavitra Rishta

Its family time on Pavitra Rishta and Manav (Sushant Singh Rajput) will soon have company. The track of the show will now introduce his family which includes his father, mother, sister and a brother. The cast has been finalised. Manav’s family is a typically lower class family who resides in a chawl.

Informs our source, “Veteran actors Ajay Wadhavkar and Usha Nadkarni will play Manav’s father and mother respectively. Manav’s father was a renowned theatre artist but now has turned into an alcoholic as nobody recognises and respects him anymore. He is frustrated with life. Manav’s mother on the other hand loves Manav unconditionally despite being his step-mother but is not happy with her husband. She feels that it was her biggest mistake to have married him. Manav’s sister and brother will be essayed by actor Raj Singh and Yamini. Their character names will be Sachin and Vandita respectively.”

Ajay Wadhavkar is popular as Pandu havaldar of the successful show Nukkad. Usha Nadkarni, a theater artist was seen as Shanta Bai in Balaji’s Kucch Iss Tara.
