He said that he started his career with Radio Mirchi and then moved on to work with Radio City and finally was roped in by Red FM 93.5. “I love being an RJ. I like to grow and want to showcase my talent everywhere,” said Mantra. Talking about Comedy Circus, he went on to state, “I was approached by them by quite many times and later I finally decided to take up the show. It’s a platform wherein I can explore and showcase my varied shades as a performer.” So what is more close to his heart…television or radio? “Both are different as a medium but yes, there are retakes in television but while on the mike, you have to be very spontaneous and precise.” And this versatile lad just loves to spread his wings. “I am also doing a documentary for Discovery Channel wherein I will be playing a psychotic scientist. I will also feature in a play called Piya Behrupiya, which is a Hindi version of William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. It’s a musical play that includes veteran actors from theater. I have been doing theater for more than a decade now. Apart from that, I like acting, performing and anchoring a lot.” So what about his relationship status? “I am very much single and I always want to remain single. I believe relationship is a journey and it shouldn’t have a destination. One should go along with it. I don’t want to settle down in life. I do have many female friends but I am not dating anyone. It’s my philosophy and I am not being diplomatic at all,” said Mantra ending the conversation.
