Shakuntalam's Amar Prem on Star Plus

TellyChakkar had earlier reported about Shakuntalam’s next show on Star Plus and its possibility of replacing Bidaai. The show, tentatively titled Amar Prem, is shot in Darjeeling and Sikkim.

A reliable source tells us, “The show is titled Amar Prem for now. We have finished our first 10-day outdoor schedule in Darjeeling and Sikkim. It’s a slice of life shows, an emotional drama. The main lead is Parvati Vaze who is Sampada Vaze’s younger sister. Vaishnavi McDonald is also playing an important role in the show. As for the male lead a fresh face has been signed in. We are hoping for a prime time slot. It’s a daily with a finite number of episodes. However, I don’t think we can replace Bidaai because we do not have those many number of episodes right now. Plus November when Bidaai is scheduled to go off air is too early for us.”

We called producer Shyamasis Bhattacharya but he refused to comment on the buzz.
