Sharad Kelkar offered Balaji’s Bairi piya

Back in July we had reported on Balaji Telefilms producing its first daily for Colors. The show is called Bairi piya and is expected to launch in a month or so. Renowned TV star Sharad Kelkar is tipped to play the lead in the show.

Speaking about the show, a source says, “Bairi Piya is Balaji’s first daily on Colors. The shoot for the show will commence on 21 September. Bairi piya is expected to go on air during September end or the first week of October. Sharad Kelkar has been all but finalised for the role. Actress Supriya, who played Sanichari in Agle janam mohe bitiya hi kijo, is likely to play the lead.

Creative director Sandip Sikcund agreed that this is a Balaji show but refused to comment on the cast.

When contacted, both Sharad Kelkar and Supriya agreed to having received the offer but added that things aren’t finalised yet.
