Siddharth Shukla is back

Model turned actor Siddharth Shukla who shot to fame as Shubh Ranavat of Babul ka aangann chootey na, went off the radar for a while is all set to mark his second innings on television with Cinevistaas’ Kya yahi pyar hai on Star One. A few weeks ago TellyChakkar wrote about Cinevistaas’ upcoming show tentatively titled as Kya yahi pyar hai for Star One. We had mentioned in the report that the show is loosely inspired by the Hollywood flick Maid in Manhattan and that the leads of the show are yet to be finalised. And now we hear that the male lead of the show has been finalised to play the character of Veer in the show.

Informs a source, “Actors Siddharth Shukla and Vivaan Bhatena were in the running to play the male lead, Veer, in the show and Siddharth has been finalised for the role. Female lead and the rest of the cast are yet to be finalised. We expect to freeze the entire cast in another couple of days. The shooting is expected to start on 28th or 29th of August and will launch a month later.”

“For the female lead, Star one is contemplating on names like Neha Jhulka who starred in Smita Thackeray’s Kaise Kahein and Gunjan Walia of Ghar ki Lakshmi Betiyann. This will be a story of a girl who hails from a humble background, falls in love with a hotelier and thus to impress him masquerades as a model”, concludes our source.

Siddharth refused to comment on this.
