Jethalal is Sachin Tendulkar

The residents of Gokuldham society are definitely different from the others and every act that they do adds up to this. One will now see all the society members praying for the Indian cricket team in their unique way in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

A source says, "As the World Cup is going to begin Gokuldham society members will call a Pandit and organize a huge havan to pray for the victory of their team. Not only will each adult member of the society take on the persona of one cricketer from the current Indian team playing the World Cup they will also perform a havan on their behalf. One will see them wearing the player's mask while doing the pooja and the havan. Daya will be seen wearing the mask of Dhoni while her husband Jethalal is wearing Sachin's mask along with the actual cricket costume. All of them will also be seen singing 'India world cup jeet ke aavo' to complete the ritual."

Producer Asit Modi says, "We all are big time into cricket. We also have our own GPL (Gokuldham Premier League). For us cricket is as big a religion as any other Indian."
