Bairi Piya

Make our wishes come true

Last time I wrote, it was to express all my emotions attached to Bairi Piya and why this show deserves a second chance. At that time we were a small group of dedicated fans working towards a common goal. As awareness about the campaign grew, so did the fan base & before we knew it we were countless people voicing the same request.

Bairi Piya'a Sequel…A necessitate of loyal fans.

What is a drama…I think the word Drama means performances and different actions described with a certain word. It is whatever…but by imitative actions rouses interest and give pleasure. In all the great periods of drama a perfect freedom of choice of subject, perfect freedom of individual treatment have always brought the good results and draw the intentions of audience.

It's time for TV to send an SMS!

Shows on different channels are being axed at the mention of the dreaded TRP word or the lack of it. If a show registers a drop in rating it is not given a second chance, wrap up time. Recently viewers have witnessed many such shows being prematurely yanked off and what follows are anguished cries of loyal fans it had gathered en route. Mails are dashed off to broadcasters, producers, media, et al. And to be fair to the channel why should they flog a dead horse?

Hello :)

I am writing this on behalf of millions of Bairi Piya fans to make a request to all the people linked with BairI Piya like Ekta Kapoor and Balaji and the production heads of all channels.

Remakes of our present shows? No way!

Cult shows like Hum Log, Ramayan, Mahabharat are being rehashed. These are shows that were made almost about 20 years ago. I am not going to get into the merits or demerits of the remakes. The point I want to make is whether two decades later would any of our existing shows ever be reborn in a new avatar?

Last week's serial killers

Sure, shows on the small screen have a very long shelf life and very often come back with seasons…but does this give the makers a license to treat the viewers like a ‘bunch of idiots’? Especially, when they stretch story lines beyond a point of redemption, when the viewer can see a logical end but the makers don’t, when makers choose to continue milking a TRP-fetching cash-cow even when the cow itself has ‘groaned’ enough!
