Bingo

Looks like Ali Asgar wanted to move away from the image of 'stand-up comic' or how else do you explain his decision to turn down Comedy Circus - Maha Sangram (the show which established his credentials as a stand-up) for a chance to rub shoulders with Abhishek Bachchan on <em>National Bingo Night</em>. Apparently when Asgar was approached to co-host Bingo with Abhishek Bachchan, the former decided to lap it up as it only meant 'being seen with a big Bollywood star'. But as expected junior Bachchan stole the thunder and Asgar hasn't quite managed to make his presence felt.

The first schedule of Abhisehk Bachchan’s National Bingo Night got over this week in Mumbai. Avika Gor and Avinash Mukherjee, the child stars of <em>Balika Vadhu</em> were the last guests for this schedule. A source present on the sets informs: “The episode with Avika and Avinash was good fun. Avinash managed to win some gifts. Since Abhishek had promoted his film <em>Drona</em> in <em>Balika Vadhu</em>, he was comfortable with the kids, it was easier for them to shoot. Avinash is quite impressed with Abhishek and they even exchanged their numbers and promised to be in touch.

The promos are on and the celebrities, well, they too are lining up to play National Night Bingo with Abhishek Bachchan. But what is the game? TellyChakkar tries to bring you the format of the show which is based on the original format owned by FOX and which began in the US.

Says a source, “That is going to be one exciting episode.”

Not just Amitabh Bachchan, but news is that there will be other celebrities too who will soon be seen on Colors’ National Bingo Night hosted by Abhishek Bachchan.

The family that shoots together stays together or so it seems - because if the buzz is to be believed then Abhishek Bachchan will start shooting for his new quiz show, tentatively called Saturday Night Bingo, in the first week of January. And if luck has it, then either Amitabh or Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be the guest for the opening episode.

After Big B, it’s Paa’s turn to engage viewers on Colors. Yes, Abhishek Bachchan is soon arriving at a small screen near you with Saturday Night Bingo, a game show which will replace <em>Bigg Boss</em>. The promos of the same are on air which mention about Abhishek’s “<em>aaram</em> classes” opening shortly. The show is on a website, live with many quizzes and tips about how to test your laziness quotient and an invitation to participate too. The show claims that the audience will not have to use their mind to win cash.
