Indian TV stars judge International Emmy Awards semifinals

<strong>Click on the pic to view slideshow</strong> Guess what were Meghna Malik, Aashka Goradia, Yateen Karyekar, Tisca Chopra, BP Singh, and Prashant Bhatt doing on 16 July 2012? Well for most part of the day they were huddled together at Anuj Saxena's Blue Waters restaurant in Mumbai as part of the Indian jury which was judging entries to the New York-held International Emmy Awards from all over the world.

Aahat to tip-toe off air?

The latest buzz is that <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/dirty-dozen-aahat>Aahat</a> has been consistently failing to fetch decent TRPs for the channel for the past few months. The latest ratings are about 0.4 to 0.5. And so now the rumour is the show might get the axe. Says a source, “Due to low ratings, we have decided to pull it off air. But the murmurs are also that the show is going off air just for a month and will return in January. We have shot some episodes which will be aired for now.”

SAB TV new detective show inspired by Pink Panther?

After the success of Fireworks’ <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/cid-oldest-show-going-strongest-too>CID</a>, now the latest buzz is the production house is all set to make a new show for Sab TV. A source says, “The show is based on the concept of <em>Pink Panther</em>, a detective show with a suspense-comic blend in it. And it’s a one hour weekly show and is tipped to launch in November. We are pitching for the prime slot of 9 pm but haven’t yet got the channel’s confirmation. Nitesh Pandey has given his nod as the lead of the show.”

CID on its way to Uzbekistan

Step aside Malaysia, Dubai, Singapore...Uzbekistan is here! BP Singh known for always trying something different, has done it again! This time the producer has decided to shoot an episode of CID, in the Central Asian country. He has already left for a recce on 28 September, which will give his team an idea of the locations involved. Then the script will be finalised according to that.
