It was earlier going to wrap up in December 2021 but then got an extension. However, we now hear that the show's time slot has been changed. The show is currently slated for the 6 PM time slot. But owing to the low ratings, it has been shifted to a late-night slot of 11:30 PM. The show also took a 10-year leap and the new leads featured Lakshay Khurana and Simran Tomar.

The show had been struggling with TRP ratings, the channel thus decided to pull the plug of Chikoo. And it is confirmed that the show is all set to wrap up.

Chikoo doesn't even remember Nupur so they have nothing to worry about. Meanwhile, Nupur is praying and thinking if the girl she saw is Chikoo or Archie. Meanwhile, Chikoo comes to Sameer and tells him that she knows Nupur.

Hira amma takes Nupur with her. Nupur asks her about Chikoo's parents but she tells her that the girl whom she thinks is her Payal, is not her daughter.

However, it feels very nice that the show is not going off-air. We have a wonderful team working on Chikoo Ki Mummy Durr Kei and I am glad that everyone’s consistent efforts have paid off

I really enjoy shooting as Chikoo for the show, it has turned into my home now. Whenever I have a holiday I really feel sad and cry on video calls.
