Durga Puja

Mahalaya is an occasion observed seven days before Durga Puja celebrations begin. It is the biggest festival of Bengali community worldwide and herald the advent of Durga, the goddess of supreme power. According to the old tradition, people of the Bengali community wake up early morning on Mahalaya and listen to the chants on radio channels or CD players.
