Noted humorist, producer of sitcoms and prominent director and actor Jaspal Bhatti passed away last night (24 October 2012) in a road accident in Jalandhar. He, along with his son Jasraj and co-actress Surilee Gautam were on a promotional tour of Punjab for their film <em>Power Cut</em>. Bhatti was dear to everyone he worked with. We got in touch with a few television actors who had the privilege of spending some moments (personal and professional) with him. The actors were in pain as they spoke about the humble human.

Jaspal Bhatti, known for his sitcom Flop Show first aired on Doordarshan in 1989, died in a car accident near Jalandhar last night. He was 57. The sitcom, a tongue-in-cheek comment on social and cultural issues among middle class India, became hugely popular and is still re-run on Doordarshan's various channels. Bhatti wrote, directed and starred in all 10 episodes of <em>Flop Show</em> with his wife Savita who also played his screen wife.

Sharhaan will make life hell for the lead actress, Priyal Gor. A source informs, “He is playing a negative character. He will be shown deeply in love with Priyal who loves someone else. He will then start troubling and harassing her. His character is similar to Sid’s character in <em>Uttaran</em>.”

The fresh episodes of the dance based reality show <em> Nach Baliye 4</em> is back and so are the nail biting evictions. The latest jodi to get evicted on <em> Nach Baliye 4</em> is the oldest couple Savita and Jaspal Bhatti. Our source informs, “The show was hosted by guest hosts Sara Khan and Ali Merchant. Despite bagging compliments from the judges all the while, it was Savita and Jaspal Bhatti who were evicted. They were in the danger zone along with Abhijeet Sawant and Shilpa Sawant.”

If sources are to be believed then comedy icon, Jaspal Bhatti and his wife Savita will be seen in the fourth season of<em> Nach Baliye</em>. The show will air for three days during the weekends. According to a source from the production house, "Jaspal Bhatti and Savita Bhatti, Vikram Bhatt's<em> 1920</em> lead actor Rajneesh Duggal with his girlfriend and Mouli Ganguly with her beau Mazhar Sayed will be seen in <em>Nach Baliye</em> this time. There will be two surprise jodis which are not yet known."
