Khwaish

After axing two shows <em> Amber-Dhara </em> and <em> Khwaish </em> Sony now has a new primetime show titled <em> Hamari Urmi</em>. The show is produced by Rose Audio Visuals, of <em> Remix </em> and <em> India Calling</em> fame. It is reported that the producer Srishti Behl is in talks with Manish Goel and Rahil Azam to play the lead and a new face as the lead actress. Srishti however chose to reveal nothing. “I really can’t say anything or confirm the news as I am waiting for the telecast time and date from the channel. Only then I would be able to reveal the details,” she said.

Balaji Telefilms Ltd. which is known to make never-ending shows like <em> Kyunki and Kahaani </em> (www.tellychakkar.com) are planning to pull off another show after<em> Kasauti Zindagi Kay. Khwaish </em> on Sony will soon be laid to rest. The show was launched with much fan fare in July, 2007. Though the rumours of the show being pulled off were doing the rounds for a couple of months it has only now been confirmed. Sources tell us that it is due to the low TRPs that the production house is forced to pull the show off.

Sumeet Sachdev is no longer a part of Sony's <em> Khwaish</em>. Although the actor entered the show as a lead with lot of expectations, his role seems to have lost its sheen and now he's completely out of the picture. Initially, he was shooting for 25 days a month for this Urdu social. Later, he started shooting for 15 days and gradually he completely stopped shooting for the show. In its typical Balaji style, last week Kabir's character was bumped off; as his car meets with an accident.

Sumeet Sachdev aka Gomzi from <em> Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi</em> is currently being seen in Sony's <em> Khwaish</em>. But very soon the cool dude will be breaking new ground by producing a short film. "I am directing and producing a short film.My friend Ashutosh Jha is playing the lead role. The shooting is almost over and now we're working on the post production requirements. The untitled film will be released in October and we will probably showcase it at a film festival," reveals Sumeet

A fter creating waves in Balaji's <em> Kayamath</em>, wonder what the saucy and dapper Eijaz Khan is up to these days? Last heard he had turned down Ekta's Dubai-based show, <em> Khwaish</em>. So we confront the actor and query him what kept him busy all this while and also figure out his career developments. "Yes, Ekta did approach me, but at that time I was busy with my sister's wedding. I explained to her my schedule and she was ok with it. I have no problem with Ekta at all," is all his says.

Balaji has finally answered the prayers of his devotees across Pakistan and the Middle East.
