Having debuted on the movie scene with UTV Motion Pictures’ Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana in 2012, Sameer Sharma laid low for a brief spell because the film did not do well commercially. Come February 2013 and Manish is ready with not one but two scripts. The first film that he has taken on hand is <em>Jugalbandi</em>, a story based on music. It would tell the story of two musicians, the guru and the shishya.

Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana’s director Sameer Sharma seems to have found a winning recipe for good filmmaking. After a film revolving around a chicken recipe Sameer is all set to direct a film woven around the theme of songs and music. The film to be entitled <em>Jugalbandi</em> would be dedicated to Sameer’s grandfather, the legendary singer Mukesh.

UTV Spotboy and Anurag Kashyap’s Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana will hit theatres on 2 November. The film celebrates the lovable quirks of a Punjabi joint family with its inherent humour, drama, confusion, emotion and the secret recipe for a famous chicken curry Chicken Khurana that forms the crux of the film. The film, that marks the directorial debut of Sameer Sharma, stars Kunal Kapoor and Huma Qureshi in the lead.
