Swastik Productions is coming up with a new show for Sony TV, starring Tina Datta in the lead role.

After a brief hide and seek about its flagship shows like <em> Mere Apne</em> and <em>Jiya Jale</em>, 9x has finally come out in open to clear the air. It has been announced by the channel that <em> Mere Apne</em> produced by Smriti Irani’s Ugraya Entertainment finally goes off air. According to a source from the production house the show will be pulled off air this month end or August beginning. When contacted producer Smriti reverted through sms stating that “Best speak to the channel.”

Smriti Irani is the current talk of the town. After creating news with her return to <em> Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi </em> as Tulsi, she is once again in the news. This time it is 9X that puts the actress in the spot. The current news doing the rounds is that 9X is at crossroads with the actress cum politician, Smriti Irani. As Smriti’s show Mere Apne as well as <em> Yeh Hai Jalwa</em> (as host) is on 9X currently it is alleged that the channel is playing the aggrieved party as Smriti appears to have shifted loyalties to a rival channel, Star Plus.

Delnaazz Paul who is currently seen in <em> Mere Apne</em> and <em> Yes Boss</em> is all set to shake her leg on the small screen again. This time she will be seen doing an item number on NDTV Imagine’s <em> Nach Le Ve</em> with Saroj Khan. “It was a good opportunity to work with Sarojji after <em> Nach</em>. I had to say yes when I received a call from the channel to be a celebrity guest of the show,” says Delnaazz.

Smriti Irani is all set to produce a family drama for Zee Telefilms Ltd. The actor-producer has produced <em> Thodi Si Zameen Thoda sa Aasmaan</em> on Star Plus (status: Off-air), <em>Virrudh</em> on Sony (status: to go off-air) and <em> Mere Apne</em> on 9X. Smriti is also producing a comedy show <em> Bai Bole Toh Gangu Bai</em> for Zee Tv. This will be her second stint with Zee. The serial will be a family drama and the director and title of the show is yet to be announced. The production house and the channel at present are busy with the casting of the actors for the show.

Sid Makkar, better known as Satyakaam of <em> Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan</em> is back on television with the brand new show <em> Mere Apne</em> on 9X. He is going to essay the role of Shankar in the show. Elaborating on the character he says, ??€?“I??€â„?m playing the character of a raw, rugged action- oriented guy, a spoilt brat of a son to Smriti Irani and Vinod Khanna. Besides that I also sport a new look, with a beard and long hair, unconventional in today's shows as we see.??€Â?
