In an industry where the female protagonist predominantly gets roles that have much weightage when compared to the male lead, Ashish Sharma is an exception. Whether it be his debut show on small screen, <em>Gunahon Ka Devta</em> for Imagine, or <em>Chandragupta Maurya</em> for Imagine, or the presently running show for Zee TV, <em>Rab Se Sona Ishq</em>, Ashish has played roles that have stood out and have been regarded as male-dominated shows.

As we know, the show is about a young girl Sahiba (Ekta Kaul) whose husband Ranbir (Ashish Sharma) dumps her on her wedding night to go to England in search of his dreams.

Rajshri Productions’ long running show Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli (Zee TV) is ending on 14 July and the time slot will now be allocated for Jay Productions’ unique love story, <em>Rab Se Sona Ishq</em>. <em>Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli</em> which has had a satisfying journey for the past two and half years will be winding up as the show’s ratings have seen a drop lately. And the show we hear will have a happy ending.

Vivian and Sukirti entered into the hearts of millions playing Abhay and Pia in Star One’s vampire saga, Pyaar Ki Yeh Ek Kahaani. Vivian is currently seen as the male lead, R K, in Colors’ Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon wherein he will romance Drashti Dhami. On the other hand, Sukirti has been signed to play the character of Jazz in Jay Mehta Productions’ show, Rab Se Sona Ishq on Zee TV.

The title tussle between Jay Productions and Balaji Telefilms is finally over (we reported about it), with Jay Mehta finalizing the title <em> Rab Se Sona Ishq </em> for his one-of-its kind love story for Zee TV. The story revolves around the innocent girl Sahiba who is deserted by the man she loves on the very day of their wedding. The journey undertaken by Sahiba from the heartland of Punjab to the unknown city of London, just to get her man back will form the crux of the story.
