Surekha Sikri

Surekha Sikri who is currently seen playing Dadisa in Balika Vadhu has won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress twice, for her role in Tamas in 1988 and in Mammo in 1995.

Heeba Shah famed actor Naseeruddin Shah’s daughter will essay the character of the young Daadisa in Balika Vadhu. Heeba is known for being extremely choosy as far as commercial films and shows are concerned but she agreed to play the role of young Daadisa only because Surekha Sikri is her maternal aunt. And she surely does resemble her aunt.
