Barfi fame 'Papon' to record a love song for IMRC Entertainment's telefilm for Star Plus

Popular singer Angaraag Mahanta fondly known as Papon needs no introduction. The singer cum composer has to his credit of performing at the Global Indian Film Awards with Midival Punditz, Kailash Kher and Shubha Mudgal. His popular numbers in Bollywood include <em>Naina Laagey</em> from <em>Soundtrack, Jiyein Kyun</em> from <em>Dum Maaro Dum</em> and the recent popular number <em>Kyon</em> from the movie <em>Barfi</em>.

Director's Kut to kickstart Teri Meri Love Stories on Star Plus with a big fat Punjabi wedding

The series of telefilms on Star Plus, titled Teri Meri Love Stories opens this week with Rajan Shahi’s Director’s Kut’s love story blossoming in the premise of a big fat Punjabi wedding (11 August at the 9 pm slot). As reported earlier, the entire wedding sequence in the telefilm has been shot in the picturesque Pataudi Palace. Arvind Babbal, senior director in the industry has directed the telefilm; a budding music composer Pranay Rijia has scored a brilliant background score.

Mahhi Vij paired opposite Shaheer Sheikh in the telefilm to be shot in Macau

Shontara Productions to make another telefilm for Star Plus; Eijaz Khan to play male lead

As we have already reported, Neeraj Sachdeva’s Shontara Productions’ telefilm for Star Plus with Karan Wahi, Chhavi Pandey, Shubhangi Aatrey, Bobby Parvez is ready for airing!! And now the fresh news is that the production house has been sanctioned to make yet another telefilm for Star Plus. We hear that handsome hunk Eijaz Khan, who was last seen as the lead in Sony Entertainment Television’s <em>Shubh Vivah</em>, will in all probability play the lead in the second project. The female lead has not been finalized yet.

Dimple Jhangiani and Kushal Punjabi in Director's Kut's telefilm on Star Plus

Tellychakkar.com was the first to break the news of Ankita Sharma replacing Dimple Jhangiani in Rajan Shahi’s <em>Amrit Manthan</em> (Life OK). In a candid chat with us, Dimple confessed that she was quite sad on being ousted from the show, but, as they, when one door shuts, ten other opens. This lovely lady has been signed to play an important role in Director’s Kut’s telefilm for Star Plus. And there is more info, folks…apart from Dimple, the makers have also roped in handsome and talented Kushal Punjabi. Kushal was last seen in Life OK’s <em>Aasman Se Aage</em>.
