Reasons Why We Will Miss Jodha Akbar

Zee TV’s popular magnum opus, Jodha Akbar produced by Balaji Telefilms, will soon bid adieu to its viewers. The show that had us hooked on to it for over three years will air its last episode on August 7. Of course we are going to miss our daily dose of grandeur and drama. Here are five reasons why…take a look:

The intriguing storyline

Jodha Akbar, set in the sixteenth century, is a love story about a political marriage of convenience between a Mughal emperor, Akbar, and a Rajput princess, Jodha. The show, rich in historical drama, twists and storyline, made for an interesting watch.

Jodha and Akbar’s chemistry

The right actors can take a show places, which was proved by the leads of this show. The soul of the TV show, Jodha Akbar, is said to be sizzling the chemistry between the lead actors, Paridhi Sharma aka Jodha and Rajat Tokas aka Akbar.

Stellar performances

Rajat Tokas and Paridhi Sharma become household names, thanks to their brilliant acting. Be it Akbar’s majestic spin on the legendary king or Jodha’s feisty yet elegant streak, the two put their hearts and souls into their characters. In fact, other actors like Ravi Bhatia, Heena Parmar, Chetan Hansraj, and Ashwini Kalsekar were equally stunning.

Historical fix

From the ornate sets to rich, period-appropriate costumes to dazzling jewellery, everything on the show looked genuine and classy. We picked up many fashion tricks from the show too!

Action-packed drama

Apart from the obvious love story, the series also had upper hand on action sequence. From the sword fighting to horse riding, actors have done a commendable job in lending authenticity to their roles.

The above article is a perfect picture of why the viewers loved this show. Rajat Tokas and Paridhi Sharma were superb in their roles. They will be remembered for this portrayal for long. Supporting actors in the role of Hamida Banu, Salima begum, Maan Singh, Rahim and even little Aram Banu were very endearing. It is sad that it is ending abruptly. We from this part of the globe will miss it terribly. RT and PS were the life of this story, hopefully we will see them again in more challenging roles.

No matter how much appreciation we write about this show it seems less. It was a wholesome show, which gave royal grandeur of that era, wonderful , superb actors Rajat Tokas and Paridhi Sharma in their respective roles, good supporting actors, pleasing music, although Tansen part of music could have been little bit more in classical format. WE the viewers will dearly miss this show. Akbar was a great emperor, there is much more achievements that TV could have presented. TV is great media for people who like the historical and epic shows. No words to appreciate the leads who put their heart in portraying Jodha and Akbar. Thank you.
