Sony Entertainment Television’s Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi is undoubtedly one of the best shows on TV right now. Everybody is finding Sonakshi Bose and Dev Dixit’s love story relatable and cute and it has also become the topic of discussion among youngsters.

The show might be revolving around the lead pair Dev (Shaheer Sheikh) and Sonakshi (Erica Fernandes), but the most important character in their love-tale is Dev’s mom Ishwari (Supriya Pilgaonkar).

In fact, the first episode itself established the amazing mother-son bonding, packaged with some heavy-duty emotional dialogues.

Dev asks one of his relatives on the show "Aapko kitna time laga mere ghar pahunchne mein."

Yahi koi 20-25 minute lage honge," she replies.

"Meri Maa ko 25 saal lag gaye yahaan pahunchne mein," says the teary-eyed Dev.

The dialogue gave us an insight into their relationship. Ishwari treats all her children equally, but is obsessed with her son Dev.

Here’s why…take a look:

The moment when Dev refused to marry Natasha (Roop Durgapal), Ishwari’s expression truly proved her obsession with her son. The mother was super happy as she did not want to share him with anyone.

When Ishwari finally came to know about Dev-Sonakshi’s relationship, she was furious. Not just that, she also pretended to attempt suicide! Do you remember the scene? This also led to Dev-Sonakshi’s break-up. Kind of a masterstroke on her part, eh?

Though Dev managed to convince his mom for the alliance with Sonakshi, she only pretended to be happy. Ishwari’s possessiveness lead to such an extent that she did not let the newly married couple stay together on their wedding night. Her mini issues created a big tiff between Dev-Sonakshi.

Ishwari also smartly managed to convince Sonakshi to keep the Navratri fast, making sure that she stayed away from her hubby dear for nine days. Now, that’s too much Ishwari!

Lastly, when the pretty Sonakshi wanted to have a peaceful candle light dinner with Dev, Ishwari played her trump card. She asked Sonakshi to go and rest as she always stays awake late for Dev to return from work. On the other hand, when Dev returned from office, she turned the tables and told him that his wife had gone off to bed. Ouch.

What’s your take on Ishawari’s mean streaks?
