The vivacious and bubbly Dimple Jhangiani shares, “Eid brings together people from different walks of life. I have worked in Beintehaa which has a Muslim background and my best friend Adaa Khan is also a Muslim. I think the true essence of Eid lies in respecting God, doing charity and praying devoutly. Every year I along with my friends from the industry go out and savor on the food from the famous Muhammad Ali Road post 12am on Eid. I love relishing on the delicacies at Iftar parties like biryaani. I think Eid depicts togetherness, unity and the universal truth that we have one God with different forms.”

The beautiful Mouni Roy truly believes the wonderful teaching of Islam and shares, “I think every religion, be it Islam, Hinduism or Christianity teach us one thing- that is ‘love’. And I think the real essence of Eid for me is to celebrate love. Not just for each other but for life in general. Being a vibrant and culturally rich nation, Eid brings us all together. Well of course, the best part about Eid is also an opportunity for everyone to pray and dine together. I wish everyone a very happy and blessed Eid.”

“I believe Eid is a beautiful extension of true love that connects people. Two of my close friends from the industry, Sehban Azim and Nigaar Khan are Muslims. I truly accept that Eid is one of the most beautiful festivals I have come across. During Iftar, people pray and say the grace together. I also look forward to Eid, because Sehban invites all of us home for some amazing mouth-watering delicacies and it is no less than a shahi dawat. Eid strengthens relationships and adds beauty to life itself”, excerpts the elegant Aishwarya Sakhuja.

The pretty and feisty Priyal Gor gives us her beautiful insight on the wonderful festival saying, “When I was young, I didn’t really have any Muslim friends but once I started working in the industry, I came across some amazing people whom I’ll cherish for the rest of my life. My manager is more than a sister to me. I promised her that I will keep a Roza for her and sincerely pray for her happiness and wellbeing. I also believe that most of our Muslim friends are a lot more devout than we are. It just inspires me to become a lot stronger in faith and increases my respect for their religion and beliefs.”

Our beloved Surbhi Jyoti aka Zoya seems to jump in merriment as she exclaims, “The festival of Eid is just around the corner and I cannot help but express my excitement. I think it is one of the most awaited time of the year when people get together, shop new clothes, make mouth-watering food and wish each other happiness and prosperity. Since college days, I had a few Muslim Friends and I used to eagerly wait for Eid because I love eating sevaiyaan. I used to go over to my friend’s place to eat the homemade dessert and have a lot of fun. So Eid just brings back all the good old memories and continues to be close to my heart.”

The good looking hunk Kushal Tandon is more than happy to celebrate Eid with his lady love and shares, “According to me, Eid is a beautiful festival that should be celebrated by everyone. It not just brings about happiness but also ushers in new beginnings. A time to let the bygones be bygones and a time to start anew. Eid holds special meaning to me since Gauahar and I are celebrating it together. We wish to spend quality time with our close friends and family members. I love Muslim cuisine and am looking forward to having a great time at Iftar parties.”

The enchanting and down to earth Rucha Hasabnis excerpts, ”One of my close Muslim friends since school is Moin. He was my colleague and my 1st Muslim friend. Now since I am working for Saathiya, two of our costars Nazim and Firoza are Muslims. They dedicatedly observed the moth of Ramazan and we together used to have dinner together when they broke their Roza. Roza symbolizes the truth that if a human can control his hunger and thirst, it makes him stronger to resist other temptations in life. Learning about their culture has been a wonderful experience. I will be out of town this Eid but I extend my humble blessings and wishes to all of them celebrating Eid.”

It is a great feeling to see people from different faiths coming together as a family together. I make it a point to wish my friends Eid Mubarak and also visit them at times. I think it is an absolutely wonderful festival that joins hearts together.”
